Q: What is XPERT Training? 

XPERT is a professional teacher training and a continuing education course. Participants receive a certificate indicating that they have successfully completed the 16-hour course and passed the written and practical exam portions of the training. As with any mode of fitness, continuing education is encouraged. Ongoing education will enhance teaching skills and techniques.

Q: How do I obtain my ACTIVE IQ Level 2 Award? 

ACTIVE IQ Level 2 Award in Instructing XPERT Pole Fitness (QCF) is Active IQ’s 100th qualification and the only Pole Fitness Qualification available.
Based on the XPERT Level 1&2 training course, the Level 2 Award in instructing XPERT Pole Fitness (QCF) is a recognized fitness qualification. This QCF has been recognized and approved by the national qualification board and Off Qual.

To complete the qualification you will need:
 
  • A suitable Level 2 Fitness Instructing qualification (ETM or equivalent within your country)

  • Successful completion of the XPERT Level 1&2 Training 

The qualification will require you to complete an additional written assessment which can be completed in advance or sent after, and also a practical assessment. The written assessment is reviewed within 14 days of submission. Upon successful completion of qualification’s written and practical assessment, you will receive a qualification certificate from Ofsted and Active IQ in the mail.

The Active IQ Level 2 Award in instructing XPERT Pole Fitness (QCF) can be used to progress onto:
 
  • Other fitness qualifications e.g. Level 2 Award in Instructing Circuit Sessions (QCF) and the Level 2 Award in Instructing Studio Cycling (QCF)

  • Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training (QCF)

  • Level 2 Award in Leading Health Related Activity Sessions (QCF)

Q: What can I expect over the course of the 2-day training? Is there a written and/or practical exam? 

XPERT is a comprehensive training that covers anatomy, movement, teaching techniques as well as beginning and intermediate pole/aerial moves. The training places a special emphasis on safety and spotting techniques, as well as safe and effective class design. The first day of the training will be split between lecture and practical. The second day will involve mostly practical and will end with the written and practical exam.

Q: What if I do not pass the written and/or practical exam? 

We are committed to helping you succeed. We provide three options for re-testing.

1. Resubmit your practical assessment via video for no charge.

2. Resubmit your written assessment via an online testing portal for no charge.

3. You may attend the entire XPERT training again at a discounted rate of $199, at which time you would repeat the course work as well as the written and practical assessment at a live training.

Q: Will any materials be provided to me at the training that I can use as a study guide? 

At the start of the training, you will receive a written manual that is yours to keep. The Master Trainer thoroughly explains each topic in depth and is committed to preparing each trainee for the written and practical exam on Day 2.

Q: What should I do to prepare for this training? 

Level 1 & 2: Beginner and Intermediate. It’s recommended that the registrant have a basic knowledge of anatomy, body alignment, and simple strength training exercises and that he/she have practiced or instructed pole for a minimum of 6 months. XPERT is the ideal course for both new and seasoned pole fitness instructors-enhancing teaching skills and expanding pole fitness knowledge. Participants do not need to have prior experience as a fitness instructor. Prior experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful: dance, gymnastics, yoga or pilates.
 
Level 3 & 4: Intermediate / Advanced, You must have completed your Level 1 & 2, you must also be able to invert competently.
 
Aerial Hoop Level 1 & Aerial Silk 1 & 2 : It’s recommended that the registrant have a basic knowledge of anatomy, body alignment, and simple strength training exercises and that he/she have practiced or instructed aerial for a minimum of 6 months. XPERT is the ideal course for both new and seasoned aerial fitness instructors-enhancing teaching skills and expanding knowledge. Participants do not need to have prior experience as a fitness instructor. Prior experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful: dance, gymnastics, yoga or pilates.

Q: What is the appropriate attire for the XPERT training? 

We recommend that you refrain from wearing lotion or oil on the days of the training and wear shorts and a tank top for Pole fitness or leggings and top for Aerial (No baggy pants). Bring a change of clothes and please be aware that temperatures vary in the studio environment so you will need to dress accordingly.

Q: Will there be a break during the training? 

There will be a one hour lunch break each day. Bring snacks and water with you to the training to hold you over should you need something while the training is taking place.

Q: What is the refund and cancellation policy? 

We do not issue refunds and the money collected may not be transferred or substituted for another service. If for any reason you are unable to attend the training which you registered and paid for, you must send an email to registration@xpertpolefitness.com to reschedule to attend an alternate training at a later date.
